History + personality changes: The most most major events that will be happening in his update are…. Ken’s revenge plot and Shinjiro’s subsequent death, the squad’s supposed victory and Ikutsuki’s betrayal, almost all of SEES getting upgraded Personas, Ryoji Mochizuki joining Minato’s class, the school trip to Kyoto, Chidori’s escape and death, the night Ryoji and Aigis and Minato all remember the whole truth of what happened on the bridge in 1999, Ryoji explaining Nyx and the Fall, and Minato now having to deal with the “kill me or die suffering” choice Ryoji gave him. Personality-wise, he’s crashed to rock bottom. Minato blames himself for everything that’s happened, and and his belief that he should’ve died in the car crash ten years ago isn’t just survivor’s guilt anymore. He’s in turmoil, dreading the future more than ever.
He’s also more attached to SEES and his other friends than ever. Bonding with other people has opened him up and made him care intensely about things again, but caring hurts and he’s suffering a lot for it. People have died, the team has been betrayed, and now a very important friend wants him to kill him. He won’t be as trusting as before - especially not of adults. There might be a little paranoia. There will definitely be a lot of anguish. He’ll be showing the side of him that’s a hardened soldier more than an ordinary high school student more, and his self-care habits are in the pit too. His core personality isn’t too different, but this will utterly wreck Minato’s self-worth and the progress he’s made. He’s going to feel incredibly guilty over being happy, think Kurama, Goro, and Akira deserve way better than him for multiple reasons, etc….and his issues with watching people die will get much worse. Because now he’s watched even more people die.
But he'll also be hiding all of this under an unsettlingly good facade of being alright - “I'm Fine” intensifying. Even those closest to him will have to make some effort to get him to talk about what's happened. He'll also feel guilty for not talking to Minako and getting advance warning, even if he forgot everything anyway, because that's how badbrain goes. Especially since Igor gave him a solid reminder of his contract...
