WORLD CHANGES
Want to add a cool new building to the Station? Want to import an element of your canon’s world into PhanRift? You can do it right here!
Like the original points page, the World Changes page is a place for you to spend your accumulated points and leave your footprint on the world of Phantasmal Rift. The system is a little different from the regular points spend, so keep reading to find out what you can buy!
What are world changes?
World changes are just that -- changes made to the game world through points spending. These can cover many different things, but for the moment they fall under two broad categories: Station Expansions and Canon Imports.
Station Expansions are additions to the main building of Keystone Station. These can be anything you like (as points and common sense permit) but depending on size and complexity, as well as internal fixtures, they can cost you a pretty penny.
Canon Imports allow you to bring elements of your home world into Phantasmal Rift, through the handy dandy magic of Fissures! These can be anything from flora and fauna native to your world to the ultra nasty final dungeon encounter mooks. The sky (and your points count!) is the limit, but the general rule of thumb is that it should be a tangible element of your canon’s world -- for example, “those weird monsters from the spooky spirit hour” is totally doable but “the spooky spirit hour itself” is not. It should be noted that these differ from traditional item regains in that points regains are only granted to a single character but canon imports will become fixtures of the main game world.
How much will they cost me?
Good question!
Because of the size and complexity of these requests, world changes tend to run on the pricier side. While the final cost is up to the mods (and may differ between items, depending on said complexity), here are some ballpark points costs, based on broad categories:
Yikes! Now that’s pricey!
Since world changes are big purchases, their points costs do unfortunately reflect that. However, to give as many players as possible a chance to play with this system, we do allow players to split points costs between them when purchasing world changes!
Up to three players may pay an equal share of the points for any of the world changes listed on the tables above. All we ask is that you make us aware who’s chipping in when you submit your request so we can calculate the points cost for you appropriately.
Got a form for me to fill out?
You know it.

Type of request: Station Expansion
Details: Large extension, basic furnishings: A climate-controlled, permanently wintry environment suitable for lagomares or beolrines. Ice crystals and magitek generate snowfalls in regular shifts from the ceiling, building up drifts for the critters to hide comfortably if they want. Someone will have to sweep paths for everyone else every day.
The extension is partitioned so prey need not live in fear of their predators, should both be brought back to the Station.
Prompto will donate his own ice magic to the cause and help out with the magitek engineering if that'd be useful.
Cost split?: MERR CHRIMMA PHANRIFT, SANTA ASHER IS HERE FOR YOUR FOXY NEEDS
Cost: 600 points from Prompto
GRANTED
Remaining points: 275
The requested station expansion will be completed and available on the IC date January 14th.
