Due to a lack of detail in your application, we’d like to see additional information on the following:

-> We’d like to see some more detail on how the Revelations storyline affects Xander, as well as some more fleshing out on what precisely makes this route (and therefore, Xander’s characterization in it) different from the other routes.

Xander's stressful and painful, but steady life takes a turn at the same point it does in all routes: when Corrin decides who to side with outside the capital of Hoshido. When she rejoins him things remain on solid ground. When she returns to Hoshido, that safe place he could return to recharge his soul- her- is taken away and he lashes out. But her choosing neither only confuses him and while it sends his world into a tissy, that utter feeling of betrayal is less then it could be. So when they meet again, while he is cold to her, he is at least willing to listen. And while in Conquest he was so destroyed by what was happening, this time he has *hope* that she might return, that she might not be utterly lost to him. Not having to buckle down with what he has left makes him more willing to doubt Garon, and is what leads him to discovering his plans to destroy both nations and in turn to join Corrin's side and leap into the Bottomless Canyon.

And it is in Valla that Xander is forced to come out of his defensive shell. He makes friends with the Hoshidans, opens up to Corrin and shares his years of suffering. Because of this feeling of commradery he never got in Nohr, and this chance to fight for something he *actually believes in* he begins to become the person he was born to be, not just the one Garon molded him to be. This Xander is able to become a kinder King then Garon would ever be. And speaking of Garon, unlike in the other routes he gets... something like closure over his father. Though he sees him devoured by Anankos, he at least learns that Garon was just a puppet for years and controlled by the dragon- allowing him the chance to separate the kinder man he grew up knowing and the monster he served.

By the time they defeat the dragon and return home, Xander is finally on the path of healing- not utterly despairing to the point of suicide like in Birthright, or forced to become a king with the destruction of another nation on his shoulders like in Conquest. This time he has allies that can help Nohr recover, and a lighter soul. Because of this he is happier, healthier and in general in a better place then in any other route.
