MONSTER/HAZARD SUGGESTIONS
Got a suggestion for a critter or other hazard to run into in a future dungeon? Leave them here and we might be able to find a place for them.

CRITTER
Whether it be things that go bump in the night, or a boss fight, or things that bump, gently, into your ankles looking for love, no dungeon is complete without beasties. While most suit their environments, sometimes Fissures pull in things that are not at all happily at home - and of course, each Fissure also creates its own monsters from shifting magical energies. If it's something that can move around and potentially fought (or bargained with, or adopted...), it's a critter.
HAZARD
But a dungeon that only contains monsters isn't very interesting, is it? Fissures also contain hazards, environmental and other effects that can stop characters in their progress just as surely as a monster. Some are large enough to cover entire areas of the dungeon, or even the whole Fissure itself; others are much more localized. Generally, if it's a problem you can't get past by fighting, it's a hazard.

Creature type: Fissure native
Environment: Part of the Amesta Forest, found in the Blossomgale and sometimes in the Infinity Tree Branches, any time of day or night but most commonly at dawn and dusk.
Description: A tiny feline-like creature with four eyes and butterfly wings. They vary in coloration but always have a galaxy pattern to parts of their wings and glowing tips on their antennae. They range in size from a typical butterfly such as a monarch to something comparable to larger moths such as luna moths.
Abilities: They produce different types of dust from scales shed by their wings. The dust typically places anyone inhaling it into a trance-like or hallucinating state, or even a deep sleep. They also produce a silvery honey-like substance that is edible, stored in waxy pouch-nests that hang from trees.
Behaviour: They are usually docile unless threatened or their feeding grounds are disturbed. They are tameable if regularly fed and well-treated, much like a typical housecat.
Drops: A small amount of shimmering trance/hallucination/sleep dust and/or a tiny bit of bio-luminescent material from the tips of the antennae. Wax and silver honey can also be gathered from their nests.
